The Trek of a life time

I’m Anju Tamang. I am in grade 11 now. I’m 19 years old. I’m in a safe home. Before I came to WPC safe home, I was uneducated and I was just 8 years old. I am from a poor family. When I was 5, my daddy passed away and mom left us. From that day on, I used to feel alone. Instead of holding toys and books, I was busy working in other houses. At that time I was unknown, unhealthy, dissatisfied with my life.
               The safehome saved me. Knowing I was going to get education, love, care and wonderful moments with my new sisters changed my attitude for life and gave me a new hope and purpose. I have experienced many changes in my life. At that time I was unable to read and write, but I’m able now.
               Living in this safe home gives me ample opportunity to learn to be competent, compassionate, generous and learn many extraordinary values that make my life complete. I understand my privilege compared to the many who are impoverished and without proper nourishment. I have access to a quality education and many facilities. I am so thankful to the WPC safe home team. 
               Himalayas are the best gift given by nature in Nepal. The Blue Himalayas and water with sided mountains create a beautiful and attractive tourist area. The village lifestyle and the way of living is totally different and can be said to be very hard to survive too. The transportation of that place is difficult to pass from one place to another in a day.
